Dr. Parker Call, O.D.
Dr. Parker Call earned his optometry degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry. Dr. Call grew up in Maryland and received his bachelor degree from Brigham Young University in Utah. After falling in love with the west he settled in Grand Junction after graduating from optometry school in 1986.
Dr. Call takes pride in being able to provide all primary eye care services in a caring, yet progressive, technology advanced way. Dr. Call also serves on the Colorado Board of Optometry and is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Parker and his wife Pam have a son awho is a realtor in Grand Junction and a daughter. Over the past twenty five years Parker has been actively involved in local youth soccer, basketball, church, and Boy Scout groups. He has a great love for the Colorado outdoors. He enjoys camping, hiking, biking, skiing and climbing Colorado 14’ners.
Dr. Melinda Hicks, O.D.
Dr. Melinda Hicks has been practicing since 1989. Dr. Hicks grew up in Grand Junction and received her bachelor degree from Mesa State College. Dr. Hicks knew she wanted to be an optometrist at a young age and received her optometry degree from the Southern California College of Optometry. Dr. Hicks returned to Grand Junction after graduating from optometry school and has been practicing in the Grand Valley for 21 years. Dr. Hicks practices full scope optometry and enjoys giving her patients the time and attention they deserve to help them meet their visual needs. Dr. Hicks see’s a wide variety of patients of all ages.
When not at work you are likely to find Melinda and her husband Paul attending various sports and recreational events that their kids are involved in. Melinda and her family also love to take advantage of the various outdoor activities that Western Colorado has to offer.
Dr. Andrew Kamenski, O.D. “Dr. K”
Dr. Kamenski grew up in Grand Junction and got his bachelors degree from University of Colorado, Boulder. After graduating from CU, he worked as an Americorps volunteer for one year in Knoxville, TN. He then went on to optometry school in Memphis and graduated from the Southern College of Optometry in 2009. He joined Horizon Vision Center in July of 2010. Dr. Kamenski practices full scope optometry with an interest in advanced dry eye treatment and vision therapy. Dr. Kamenski works with his patients to fully educate them on their eye health and needs. He is a member of the Colorado Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development and the Ocular Surface Society of Optometry.
After being absent from Colorado for 6 years Andrew is fully appreciating all the outdoor activities Colorado offers. Andrew enjoys mountain biking, skiing, golf and fly fishing. He also enjoys an occasional trip over to Denver for a concert or a Rockies game.
Cathy Booth
Cathy is the head optician at Horizon Vision Center. Cathy has a unique talent for combining extensive technical expertise with exceptional people skills. Cathy grew up in Grand Junction and joined Horizon Vision Center in 1999. Outside of work she enjoys concerts and spending time with her two sons Dillon and Devon.
Tanyah Williams
Tanyah serves as Practice Manager and Contact Lens Expert at Horizon Vision Center. She has been with Horizon Vision Center since 1995. Tanyah teaches our new contact lens wearers how to properly wear and take care of their new contact lenses. Tanyah makes sure all parts of Horizon Vision Center are moving and working efficiently.
Tanyah grew up in Arvada, CO and moved to Grand Junction in 1994. Outside of work she enjoys home decorating and spending time with her husband Dan and son Zach.
